I have been a lover of fashion and beauty products for as long as I can remember. Many of my days were spent on my Mother's dressing room floor watching her get ready, pick out clothes or pack for one of her extensive travels. Not only did this ignite my love for all things beautiful, glamorous and sparkly, but it also supplied me with many of the fantastic items for sale on my site.

My life isn't too much different from most, I'm sure. I'm simply a Midwestern girl trying to find a way to help provide for my family while doing something I love. Like many, I have tried a lot of things, experienced many adventures and worn more than a few hats in life.
During college, I spent several years working at a newspaper as a reporter. I graduated with a BS degree in PR and a minor in news. I eventually moved into the advertising and sales department of the paper where I not only sold ads, but was able to design many of them as well.

I got married and was lucky enough to be able to stop working for a few years in order to stay at home with our growing family. The hardest -and most rewarding to wear- hat so far. I jumped back into the workplace for a short stint as a substitute teacher until last fall when I had my fourth child, another daughter.

My persistent desire to create a business around something I knew quite a bit about, and loved, led me straight to Lovely Daughters Vintage. Named not only after my own 2 lovely daughters, but for all the lovely girls out there- no matter what age they may be.
